Listen, I am a grown man and I am past the stages of identity crisis. I am not insecure about my identity at all and the more I realize we don't really know much about our history, the more comfortable I am with any intellectual or academic discourse that attempts to understand it no matter how complex it may seem.

When people grief, no one has a right to tell them to stop grieving. Grieving is a natural human stage and it must be allowed to be completed.

Similarly, coming to terms with identity is a natural human stage with most people going through it at some point between adolescence and mid-life.

You have a right to go through your identity forming process so I am not going to begrudge it, but I would advise you NOT to read my writings or engage me if it is going to trigger you.

I mean just the way you responded to me is unnecessary and should be avoidable.

It is not ONLY that you are angry at the discussion of theory, but you are ALSO signalling that you believe you are ENTITLED to what I can or cannot discuss.

In effect, MY freedom of expression is subject to YOUR control and desire.
