Yes. In Wallaga, where Maccaa is the majority clan, the OLF is strong. Today's OLF is stronger than the one of 1980s and 1990's- they have younger, intelligent leaders who won't compromise. I remember when we were supporting abiy and his party, thinking that he'd really change, the OLF leaders refused to disarm and went back to the bush-and some of us criticized that, and look now, we were proven wrong.

So are they planning for an independent Oromia

For a few reasons, I see that as unlikely but I see a stronger federation, where we all have our own armies, our own governments, etc, but we meet in the middle/center, finfinne/addis ababa, to negotiate.
One reason is-we do not have agreed upon borders between us all-oromia and somali, oromia and amhara, amhara and tigray, it'd be endless wars that would make somalia's worst civil war times look like a walk in the park in a rich white neighborhood in the suburbs of America.

Exactly. We cannot leave Wollo alone while they are surrounded by amharas on one side, and afars on the other.

It is said that, the Wollo Oromo warriors became Muslim at the time of Imam Ahmed, they then joined his army and battle the habeshas up north, they ended up settling on the land up there, the habeshas have tried very hard to exterminate them, expel them, or forcefully convert them. Some left, some became Christian, but most stayed Muslims, Alhamdulilah. Although, most speak Amharic, instead of Afaan Oromo.

Yes. If the goal is to work with the Oromo's there, and they reach an agreement, then fine; if not, the Oromo there will have to unite with the Afar to fight the TDF as well.
