Dowlad facebook ku nool
That describes rooble. If rooble had any power he would have stopped the icj and he would have accepted the AU proposal of extending their stay in somalia which was rejected by farmaajo.

Rooble is isgu sawir and a Facebook prime minister. Since the letter farmaajo wrote diminishing rooble's power have you heard rooble firing or hiring anyone?

According to Kenya's The Star, "The International Court of Justice on Tuesday awarded Somalia control of most of a potentially oil- and a gas-rich chunk of the Indian Ocean", meaning Kenya's minor stake is insignificant.

This is not something to glout with when you understand the court threw out the MoU signed by Abdirahman Abdi Shakur. In conclusion we lost land not because of MoU signed by past administrations but the incompetency of Farmajo government
I don't think you speak English very well. :|

Like Bashi said, the entire reason Kenya had reason to claim there was a "dispute" to begin with is due to the MOU.

1. The Court did not "throw out" the MOU.
2. It recognized it as a valid document which "made" Somalia "agree" that there was a "dispute."
3. The Court then said because "both" sides "recognize" there was a "dispute," the Court then had "jurisdiction" to judge in the "dispute."

The Court then ruled in Somalia's favor with an adjusted reward.

Without the MOU, there would never be a legal dispute to begin with as Kenya had already confirmed in multiple treaties and laws that it limited its claims following the land border.

You just can't help being fake news. :|

I would advise everyone to read the statement of of Judge Yusef.

The court departed from all previous methodology and agreed that the cost was CONCAVE= C

This allowed the mfs to adjust the provisional equidistant line when it was totally unwarranted. Even a schoolboy could see the adjacent coasts of Somalia and Kenya were broadly aligned in the same direction.....NE.

Judge Yusef goes on to say the court has basically used a contrived median line in order to produce a line that comes as close as possible to a bisector line.........when nothing justifies the use of a bisector line.

The map the op has posted doesn't reflect how much sea Somalia has lost......we have lost much more.

Furthermore, in the future judge Yusef states that this unsatisfactory judgement has created problems in the future delimitation of the 350nm outer continental shelf.

Having said that.........Somalia at present is a basket case without any real sovereignty. So in that respect this was a good decision for Somalia.

One last point is the direction of the sea border is SE.....so in theory the further we can extend our exclusive economic zone....200nm- 350nm....the more we reduce Kenya's EEZ.

Not so:

I'm surprised Farmaajo mentioned HSM early in his speech, according him some credit; that's what you call sportsmanlike.

I think we can all agree this was an important win for Somalia. I’ll give farmajo credit on this as I’m sure he was pressured to settle this outside the ICJ. HSM also deserves a lot credit for initiating the case.

They posted the speech since then. A lot of Somalis are shitting their pants today though. They have too much money in Kenya and will risk losing it if Kenya does what it has always done. Confiscate/repossess Somali properties in Kenya.
