Abudwaaq imports vegetables from Baladweyne i also heard they sell their cheap livestock in Baladweyne because our traders have farms in there to fatten them up before they sell it twice the Caabudwaaq price.

Khalid, remember when Dabcasar crashed Cali Khaliif Galaydh and Beesha Dhulbahante + Isaaq luncheon in Hargeisa and one of the attendees says "did you say your name is Dabcasar? Are you by any chance related to Haji Dabcasar of Marehan who lived in Berbera?

And Dabcasar went "Yes, that's my grandfather."

The modern social media Dabcasar's grandfather Haji Dabcasar was one of the men who put down the first mark that became Caabudwaaq meant to be a gateway for Berbera to the south. And Haji Dabcasar, himself, moved to Berbera as the head of the trade line making sure nothing went wrong!

Habar Awal gave him not 1 but 2 pretty maidens, partly because of dhaqan wanaaga Haji Dabcasar, and partly because of the importance they attached to the Caabudwaaq tradeline and to cement the business partnership. Haji Dabcasar (AUN) passed on to the other world in his chosen home of Berbera.

In any case here is a small history of Caabudwaaq's found I once shared here;

  • Caabudwaaq was established for "political" reasons after WWII and the defeat of the Italians. It was a political based decision for the establishment of a "constituency" base separate and different to thr general Italian police post on the road today known as "Dhusa Mareb." Dhusa Mareb station itself was established on the road near Sinadhaqo watering hole which was the boundary between Marehan and Hawiye. Following the defeat of Italy in WWII and the effective "persona non-grata" Ethiopia served Marehan's existence beyond the border as punishment for supporting the Italo-Abysinnian war, Marehan as a clan reached the consensus that their own political consitutency base had to be established and within the Somali Italian border; a constituency of their own, unshared, and separate to the Italian Resident at Dhusamareb which was the constituency of all south of Gaalkaacyo and north of Beled-Weyne with the coast having a minor detachment at Hobyo and later at Ceelbuur.
    • And Caabudwaaq was established near CEELKI CABDA CAALE. This was the permanent, deep well Caabudwaaq was strategically built near in order to even have a settlement. And it was chosen as a triangular ∆ halfway point between the three main permenant grazing zones of the Marehan then at
    • Gelinsoor/Dhabat <---> Ceel Habreed/Laba Baar<----> Cilaanle/Buuro.

  • And who gathered this Marehan consensus, planned, financed, and led to the establishment of the settlement?
    • Dervishes! Haji Dabcasar, Haji Hashi Jaamac---Dervishes! This is one of those beautiful historical truths hidden in plain sight. Yes Clan wise it was bah-Daarandoole, but that's because bah Daarandoole just happened to be disproportionately the Marehan who joined the Dervishes led by Shabeel Carab. This is how they were bouyed by the networks they built in the Dervish and entered commerce. Haji Dabcasar began supplying the interior of Mudug through Burco and Laas Caanood from the port of Berbera!
      • The bah Daarandoole Dervish network with Marehan associates from the Dervishe consignments who joined Shabeel Carab formed their linkages from Berbera > Burco/Laas Caanood > Geladi and Wardheer. Galaadi can go to Gaalkacyo and Gelinsoor but Marehan wasn't a BOX, it was a TRIANGLE the entire rest 1/3 then juts southWEST towards Shilaabo. This is how Caabudwaaq was established right in the triangle at CABDI CAALE where the network can go from Wardheer OR Gelaadi > Caabudwaaq equidistant to both almost and then Either go southeast Caabudwaaq > Dhuusa Mareb & Galgaduud interior OR Southwest Caabudwaaq > Ceel Habreed/Laba Baar and the Shilaabo plains.
    And thus Caabudwaaq was established as part of a natural political and economic transition period between the old animal subsistence economy and pre-colonial pre-state/boundaries and the newly forming Somali State lurching into a growing international trading opportunities.

    And the disruption that caused the transition was colonialism, including the formation of boundaries, and responding to the new challenges presented by the transition was the key organized network within the Marehan of central regions that had been most politically activated and gained new experiences and awareness that allowed them to RESPOND to the challenges both for their people and for their economic interests.
And that key organized network was the Marehan Dervishes who, after building networks with the north, turned to commerce and planned with Habar Awal to link the port of Berbera with the south.

So it should not be surprising that Caabudwaaq utilizes the port of Berbera.

Berbera helped birth Caabudwaaq as a trading station supplying the port of Berbera itself!

A profitable business relationship to this day from what I saw in Caabudwaaq and the number of Sacad Muuse in the town. :som: :sland:

i won't go into what you wrote about Hargeysa/ bombs as it has been debunked by even the iidoor of somalinet. However i will explain why it took him a week or two to come forward and claim the truck publicly.

first it was a smart move, he waited until he could capture 3 xawaadle trucks and now he has leverage. he could easily just take the 3 trucks and be done with it but he wants to operate his business in a xalaal way with his own truck. This shows character and integrity.

as for your comments about mx livestock getting fattened up in beledweeyne again fake news. MX in centeral somalia/ Ethiopia sell their livestock in berbera or bosaso. they stopped bosaso after some reer bari robbed them now as far as i know it is somaliland who then export it to arab countries.

i would also advice taking other people's properties it won't go well for you. ask HG when they started targeting MX travellers and nomads. the first few times MX tried to talk to HG about this new foolxumo dhaqan. HG refused and targetted more MX nomads and MX travellers. well you know where that ended up. MX done the same and done it much more successfully. when was the last time you heard MX traveller was killed by HG.

so i would advice you to return the truck and you will get your 3 trucks. apologise to the man for trying to steal his property otherwise be ready for every xawaadle truck to be hijacked.
