Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
Other than inciting virtual fitnah among certain skinny clans, does this topic even have a purpose?

To be honest, majority of Somalis are hillbillies and qabil obsessed even those with Phd’s.OwQariib wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 8:33 pm The Gentleman's agreement was between Hiiraan and Sh.Dhexe to split the capital and governor. It's not an agreement between Abgaal and Xawaadle. If there was a vote all the Hirshabelle clans except XL would vote against XL leadership. You don't know XL well Sinister, they are hillbillies, not a reer magaal people. They have some good technocrats but waa iska mooryaan.

He is a Reer gedo that's why he is emotionally invested.Gubbet wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:28 pmI don't really care who leads Hirshabelle, it doesn't affect or concern me but what is interesting is why he has such strong views and emotional investment in Marehan affairs and especially Gedo Region. Where does Sahal get the hubris to peg my position on Gedo vs Madoobe Vichy Con or Marehan vs Unukaa-ism to who or what "Rer Siyaad" has what regional position as he contrives? Wasn't Maxamed Muxumud Gov of Gedo? Didn't he switch to Madoobe? Where did Sahal find me even with mildly impacted bias ever presenting a shade of a change to my long and continuing Marehan position against Madoobe? No where because it is not really about me or even Marehan---it is how he strongly wants to reflect Marehan.Nomand wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:01 pm Culusow fears abgaal more then xawaadle.
Xawaadle can't benefit him nore harm him.

I fundamentally recognize his equity as Reer Gedo if he would ever like to claim it.Sbashi wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:34 pmHe is a Reer gedo that's why he is emotionally invested.Gubbet wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:28 pmI don't really care who leads Hirshabelle, it doesn't affect or concern me but what is interesting is why he has such strong views and emotional investment in Marehan affairs and especially Gedo Region. I am Marehan. I want to claim my equity in Gedo & Jubbaland---just like I would like to claim my equity in Galmudug. I would even like to claim it in Warder and Shilabo where I have never been allowed in the history of post-state formation in Africa.
I fundamentally support any Somali community claiming their equity in Gedo and his equity is a historically recognized one even by Marehan.
I want to claim an equity I have never been allowed to and he wants to run away from and bury one he only needs to reclaim.
Sahal should not recoil from and resent Marehan. He should face them with purpose. I would imagine his heart would even soften when he is met by tolerance & good faith.
Marehan in Gedo have one of the most dynamic & peaceful co-existence with their diverse neighbors all over Gedo region.

Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
With our neighbors yes, but other far away regions not so much. Except who acknowledge the Creed. We are tolerant but others aren’t tolerant towards us. Gedo been the most quiet since ‘91. That’s a real deep state. Only go to war for the right reasons. Shadow games never stop, blood is owed for 5.Gubbet wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:52 pmI fundamentally recognize his equity as Reer Gedo if he would ever like to claim it.Sbashi wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:34 pmHe is a Reer gedo that's why he is emotionally invested.Gubbet wrote: Wed Jan 18, 2023 3:28 pm

That is the truth I observed a long time ago. Even a 5X PhD Somali Oday has a xoolo mentality.
Ironically enough it is the Somali 0.5 minorities that are the closest to Reer Magaal. Shaanshi, Barwaani people.

^ Quite an indictment to all maryooley but particularly those of us who have the misfortune of hailing from the eternally damned region of Mudug. Fortunately, for me, i can take some consolation in the fact that i am a naturalized citizen of the one of aforementioned ".5" clans.

Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
If there is one certainty, it is that the Gentlemens Agreement in Hirshabeelle will be restored. No amount of stratagem can stop it.
Kulahaa hillbillies! On an individual basis, we're of calibre but what we lack is the collective political discernment for siyaasadan Somalia ee waalan. Just imagine if certain clans had the limelight of neautrlizing the Shabaab in the way Xawaadle had, they would have endlessly capitalized on that political capital. XL waa iska shib. Daacadnimo to that degree is not an advantageous trait in Somali politics. The dispositions of some clans (e.g. Xawaadle, Dhulbahante, Garxajis, Mareexaan) simply put them at a disadvantage in the current political machinations at home.

Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
I prefer Somali hillbillies to Somali "reer magaal." Wallahi everyone who knows both prefers Somali hillbillies. Every single international travelor among Somalis from Burton to Brichetti to even the last US ambassador before 1991 have all written about their experience with Somalis saying the Somali reer magaal is essentially the Somali hillbilly---without the integrity and with degraded morales.
Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
Not a problem eebow, adeer Sanka will lead Hirshabelle over the reer magaal Guudlaawe. Sanbaloolshe is actually more educated than Guudlaawe but dangerous to the state structure if given too much power. He was removed from NISA twice for trying to disarm rival militia when his clan have checkpoints in Luuqjeeloow to Beledweyne. Check the IAAAP papers. Re: Hiirshabeele and the Gentlemen’s agreement
Sanbaloolshe is not a Somali hillbilly, he is a Somali reer magaal. Jeyte is a Somali hilbilly. The Somali hill billy doesn't care about the next deegaan, he is too busy with his ood. In fact, he doesn't even care about your wealth or property or even how you look if his rain was more ordinary, his patch of open grass green and his flock lazily free around his hut. What you described is the Somali reer magaal and his degraded morals and declining integrity further he loses touch with his inner hillbilly.OwQariib wrote: Thu Jan 19, 2023 10:25 pmNot a problem eebow, adeer Sanka will lead Hirshabelle over the reer magaal Guudlaawe.
