Honestly speaking Somaliland has come out of this 100 times better. Those people being killed would be problem tomorrow - by the way not civilians, but the active die hard fighters. Somaliland should have done this in the 1990’s but it was a missed opportunity because we lacked the right leadership. The international community has been aware of Somaliland for a long time. They trust us that what we are fighting is something that will destabilise the region. Meaning it’s in their interest to ensure Somaliland stays in place.
