Cagjar’s plan is to integrate the Ogaden forces into the National military. That is a solid idea but it will take a long time to fully takeover the Ethiopian military. Ogadens have taken over the Kenyan military successfully and used it to their advantage. Imagine an Ogaden General and defense minister commanding the ENDF!! Integrating the entire Liyuu force is not possible because some will be needed to defend the long border with Bakool & Gedo region which is full of insecurity & terrorism.

Joining the ENDF is personal choice , no cagdheer is willing to fight constant war In other parties of Ethiopia, the cagdheers don't even speak the Amharic language , they are less educated and less integrated into other Ethiopian society. Irir Samaale will dominate the federal affairs.

You don’t need to fight wars to be a federal soldier. Most of the federal troops are stationed in the cities. In the Somali region majority of the federal troops are non Somalis, while the Liyuu force is Somali. Replacing the foreign Federal troops with Somalis in the Federal police & reserve is a major improvement. I welcome this move if it means that Somalis get to have a stokehold in the military and intelligence agencies of Ethiopia. By the way Ethiopia doesn’t even know what Irir Samaale is so stop hyperventilating kkkk

Man every inch of Ethiopia is a warzone. In fact our region is the most stable. Joining the ENDF is like signing your death warrant , you can be sent to any were burning. Religion , khat , alcohol are all banned in the military. Somalis don't like hard discipline. The money is also very small. Ahmed madobe pays double what abiy pay. Human life have no value in Ethiopia. Some times they can put you in the front line and if you try to retreat they kill you. It's really very tough life. Kudos to the cagdheer if they join the army and survive.

Isaaqs do not forget and do not forgive , the reason I hated the liyuu dogs is because they killed my peaple in kaamac dubad for no reason. I absolutely don't mind ogaden taking mashaariic or filling all positions

I think a lot of folk are under the false illusions.
The Liyu police will no longer be a paramilitary force, and instead will be absorbed by federal and State structures.

On the ground you will still have a predominance of Ogaden security personnel. Only the insignia and chain of command will change.

If you wild dogs misbehave it will still be an Ogaden size 15 boot on your necks or an Ogaden AK rifle butt in your faces.

A lot of Darood elders, particularly Dhulbahante, condemned the massacre of HY reer badiye.

That was one of dozens of massacres carried out by the Liyu under Iley.

Incidentally, more Ogadens were killed by the Liyu police than all other clans combined.
