Sis Amat,
Lol Amat is you really a Sufi or you just playing with us?

I have to admit that I don’t know much about Sufism but I have read a book or two on it and was attracted to some of the Sufi concepts….i was especially impressed with the focus on inner spirituality rather than outer spirituality ….because at the end of the day we should be Muslims not because we were born to Muslim parents but because we choose to be Muslims, not because we want acceptance from others but because we choose to fear Allah (swt) of our own free will often with a great degree of pondering, questioning, mulling, accepting, re-evaluating etc etc …..and not being scared to seek knowledge because if you truly believe, feel, witness the existence of Allah (swt) no knowledge contradicts existence of Allah (swt).
Some Things about Sufism freak me out though (maybe you can explain them for me)
-The need for a person to be attached to “school†and a spiritual teacher to reach ihsaan ( lol maybe its just my personality that finds this a problem, am such an attatchment phobe its not funny)
-Why does one have to eventually withdraw from day to day life to go on that spiritual journey?
