It was funny that yuo called me negative yesterday yet you made the statement below.

"let me tell you something man...in my lifetime i've realized that protesting and public demonstrations of injustice is absolutely pointless. millions blacks in this country have been crying out for 400 years and still to this day they are being racially profiled and singled out, somalis have to realize that no one is actually listening, no one really gives a fock. wether or not i take part in this demonstration isn't going to change anything"

well, i'm not being negative here, i'm giving my honest opinion on how i see things, no sugarcoating, none of that hope crap, i'm saying things the way they really are. YOU on the other hand, made unnecessary personal jokes, sort of like saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.

We, Somalis, donÃ¢Â€Â™t have military to fight the police in the west nor do we have legislator in government levels to speak on our behalf. All we have is our voice and yes protesting and letting your voice heard in a major way is what freedom and democracy is all about. We mightnÃ¢Â€Â™t get instant results but trust me speaking out is better than silence.

2,000 people were expected but only few hundred showed up. and the media didn't even capture half of the people on camera. All they showed on the news, were few people with posters and flags.

interesting thread ya'll, its nice for those of you who can make it and actually believe in "street complaining". But like every trick , protesting gets old too. So what i learned from the course of history is that leaders generally don't give a sht about protestors anymore. For example BUsh and Blair went to war in iraq, but quatre of billion people across the globe came to protest, britian being the largest outcome with 2 million people coming out to protest agianst Blair's decision to go to war. Yay for democracy!!!! and yay for people power Exclamation

yeah protesting has lost its momentum, so i suggest just you bring an Ak48, and take out a couple of ohio state troopers and that should make us all proud, and even for our brother. Twisted Evil
