Once you're in the US military, you become its property. You will have no choice but to sing its tune. I exchanged some comments with a SomaliaOnline member who was a marine recruiter at a Minneapolis mall. The guy appeared to think the fact that he's a marine made him powerful. He also spoke with a peculiar tone, like the marine is his "family."
