Re: Your favourite English accent
We had an interesting thread about your favourite Somali accent recently and I thought how about one about English accents? and furthermore, what do you think is your English accent?
My favourite has to be the Kiwi (New Zealanders) accent. my mate is from Dunedin in Otago and I quite like his accent. They way he prounce the word 'six' is quite funny, one might get confused and think maybe he just said 'sex'
.
Quit teasing me will you? I must admit I have the kiwi accent and I love it . Next to an Aussie I sound good. But I laugh everytime I hear the Aussie accent classic. The kiwi accent somewhat resembles the South african accent however depending onwhereabouts you are located in New zealand one might sound english or irish. For example there are countless words I pronounce with british accent . According to mybrother who lives in Uk I sound Irish yeah right!
I really hate the american accent everytime I meet a somali-american I get turn off. The accent is so bloody hideous.
