it's sad to see something like this happen, most people would argue that the punishment doesn't fit the crime, but the law is the law...this is what happens when you break the law.

Somalilight i know what ur saying....Unlike most Muslims, I think out side the turban....Christianity came first and was the blue print for "the final word of gods" which is Islam...

I'm a very strange Muslim indeed, for example i do believe jesus was the son of god ( there's too much evidence historically to say other wise)...what bothers me is how we take so much from the Bible and discredit as being useless....Most muslims wont debate on the matter cuz their stories dosen't hold up...U can't borrow an idea from a book and flip it around in ur book saying how ur version is the truth, when that book came out way before urs was ever even existed...the same can be said about the bible...they don't give as much credit to the hebrew book before it....

Some Muslims say Christianity followers worships Jesus more than God (btw, which is the same god Muslims and jews and budists believe in)...but the same can be said about Muslims.....why is Mohammed(pubh) considerd so highly of...for instance, just for fun i asked a man at my local mosk if i can be Muslim and not believe in Mohammed ( who is JUST a messenger and NOTHING more) and he said "NEVER!"....then i told him if this is so then aren't we putting Mohammed ( pubh) on the same level as Allah....he just shook his head in disbelieve for challanging him.....Well since most Christians worship Jesus as they do God, then wouldn't that put Muslims in the same boat by making our prophet as important to Islam as our God is?

I'm a liberal Muslim....All I do is follow the Qur'an how it's written....Allah (swt) says Mohammed is JUST a messenger and that's how he should be treated....he isn't Important or as Important as our god....he is just a HUMAN who was blessed to get god's messages....but sadly most ppl confuse Mohammed ( pbuh) as being as important as ALLAH (swt)....that's why when the cartoons came out, i laughed cuz it wasnt what ISlam was about...he was just a man who sent Gods messages to the ppl....

This is my opinion, and if u got a problem with it, u can ignore me....

Salaamu calleeykum

What does Allah Subxaana Waa Tacaala mean when He tells us in the Qura'an; "There is no compulsion in Islam"? Though the original link and the one you supplied belong to a Shia source (who differ from Sunni Muslims in their sources of valid hadiths), don't you think that it is culturally and historical based and has no relevance for Muslims today?

You mentioned, "if a human is wrong sentenced to death Allah will give them victory in this life and the next."

How could a victim enjoy this life when they already are victims of culture and are dead? What victory will they achieve in this life? What happens to those who take those innocent lives? Could you elaborate on the Tahara concept? Is it a Shia concept? Does this concept sanction humans to issue unjust judgements and replace the judgments of Allah SWT which is just and fair?

Let us not play with fire.

Bismellah

Allah said,

﴿لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِى الدِّينِ﴾

(There is no compulsion in religion), meaning, Tafseer of ibn katheer ==>

"Do not force anyone to become Muslim, for Islam is plain and clear, and its proofs and evidence are plain and clear. Therefore, there is no need to force anyone to embrace Islam. Rather, whoever Allah directs to Islam, opens his heart for it and enlightens his mind, will embrace Islam with certainty. Whoever Allah blinds his heart and seals his hearing and sight, then he will not benefit from being forced to embrace Islam.''

When that verse is referring to disbelievers !

With all due respect walaley, if you are not that educated in Islam then maybe you shouldn't just cut and paste things. I understand your passion for your beliefs, BUt sometimes your lack of knowledge may be damaging especially in a place like Somalinet where you have critics of islam who will more than likely pull apart your weakness in basic principles of faith. The obvious fabrication of the stoning hadiths is evident, and usually if some law becomes inhumane in the eyes of the people and Allah as not asked for this punishment, then why is there? i recommend you read the Quran slowly and take notes as you go...and please for the sake of your faith AVOID THE SAUDI TRANSLATIONS WITH HADITHS INCORPORATED INTO THE SURAHS.....

Sis

I disagree with you in claiming that the ayat is intended for non-Muslims. Inshallah we will revisit this topic and discuss it further, only if you want.

First, there are many irrelevant posters here, secondly, I'm short on time.

Before I leave, can you answer my other querries above?

Somalilight

You are not a Muslim, why bother with Muslim disagreements and discussions?
