Don't doubt it! Laughing Laughing

Basra, I suppose you have read Madame Bovary and The sentimental education, and, of course, all the books by Gustave Flaubert...

Basra, long time ago I read 'Pride and prejudice' and 'Mansfield Park'. I also saw in the cinema 'Sense and sensibility'. I like her irony and the way she's making fun of the English stablishment of her time. Did I passed the examination? Laughing

No i have not read Madame Bovary -- but the book was recommended to me & i seriously did not like its plot content.I also did not like Middlemarch which is more like Madame B. --long, think & dull. I need a 'lively' book-- but my father loves Madame B .It seem every strong alpha male is attracted to this book.I suppose it has some psychological notion that i cannot get into it right now! However i am interested to read The sentimental education'. I think i read somewhere where Jane might have read this too. Janes Novels never have sentimental stuff-- she was a cynic who started a whole new genre ridiculing the sentimental novel that were in fashion in her days! I will look into it--thanks! Smile

Biko@loool ssshhhh Laughing

Sir Lug@loool

No u did not scare me! You just made me a little irritated! There is a difference! Laughing Laughing

' if you are using those as a consolation to your sinful life, you never know when death will knock your door, better be prepared than regretting later'

I beg your pardon?? Laughing Laughing My dear we are all sinful beings---we are descendants of Sinful make up. Again--do not put yourself in a high Qaat righteous pedastal dear--- since statistic has proven that someone in your age is very much likely to see death before i do-- i suggest u equally follow your own advice! Laughing Laughing

PS Thanks for the Prophet Muhhamads (PBUH) book recommendation-- i plan to read inshallah when i am your age & holding a 'Tuusbaah' Simultaneously ! Very Happy
