Galol,

What you don't want to understand is; none of us can EARN Heaven with deeds, it is Allah's mercy that OFFERS us Heaven. and we can only be recieve Allah's Mercy by believing in him, obeying him, and acting righteous in this life.

So without believing in Him, no good deeds eccapted from any one.

Galol dear friend, of course Gandhi is rotting in the pitts of eternal hell. What would make you think that this most evil and henious man would ever smell a whiff of the scent of Janna al-firdous?

He murdered and killed many a people during his life time- oh no, I think I'm mistaking him for the man who lived prior to the time of the prophet, and who killed a 100 people including the priest who said he was going to hell, but was spared any punishment and enterd into heaven anyway because he was a believer.

That is the terrible contradiction of religion. That so long as a man says "I believe in God" but does no good in terms of helping his fellow man, he enters heaven, whilst the decent man & woman that works assiduously to do good in the world, undertaking projects to alleviate poverty and disease is rewarded with eternal damnation because he didn't believe in god.

Such is the nature of this "just" god.

gods? There is only One God worth workshipping. So he wasn't believing in God. But I don't know if he goes to hell or not. That isn't my business. I have my self to worry about.

your heart is sealed with firm disbeliev, our hearts are sealed in the firm believ of Allah and his prophet. why not leave it to you your way and to us our way since we cannot come into agreement on these matters galol???.

Galol, why you are so worried about Ghandi? You should worry for yoour self or you believe you deserve the hellfire more than Ghandi?

Cool-man

I am just seeking knowledge and wisdom brother Cool-man. And I am getting nuggets of it like Alalh burning old peaceful geriatrics because they did not believe in him specifically.

And no we never discussed Gandhi before.

Error,

I am failrly certain the cult you are talking about in Colorado City is on the border bewtween Utah and Arizona. It is a "Fundamentalist" Mormon group that has been there since the last part of the nineteenth century. They have traditionally moved back and forth across the border, depending on which jurisdiction was bothering them.

If your data is correct, I have not seen that particular documentary. I will say that 70 is an extraordiary number of wives never achieved during the classic period of Mormon polygamy. I believe Brigham Young had the most wives, at about 23. Furthermore, sex outside marriage, and gay sex in particular, are extremely strong Mormon taboos.

Polygamy in the classic period was mostly a matter of welfare. More women than men were converted. More men died. Church elders would often go to men who had a little more than others and ask them to marry women who had been widowed or who otherwise had no support. I won't say that lust wasn't involved, but it was not the whole picture.

Trying to keep this somewhat on topic, I will add that Mormons believe they have first-class tickets to Heaven. Entry is based on what one does in this life. There are no Houris in Mormon Heaven. One is simply reunited with his extended family, the larger the better.

I have a hard time seeing either Gandhi or Mother Theresa burning in Hell.
