This is from Rueters. Soon they will close Mogadiscio and all universities, they claim it to be secualr institutions. No education for girls. They will kill any Muslim who don't follow their voodoo version of Islam. A mixture of warlordism and Taliban style Islam. Their days are numbered, and all their supportes should go back to defend them.
Mogadishu Islamists ban World Cup, spark protests
By Mohamed Ali Bile
MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Islamist militiamen shot in the air to disperse hundreds of Somalis protesting early on Saturday against moves by sharia courts to stop them watching the World Cup in the capital Mogadishu, residents said.
The football tournament had drawn huge crowds to television screens set up under trees and iron-sheeted shacks, providing some escape from the tension that has gripped Mogadishu since Islamists seized control from an alliance of warlords on Monday.
Witnesses said scores of young men set fire to tyres late on Friday in protests that carried on into the early hours of Saturday after Islamist gunmen pulled the plug on makeshift cinemas airing the football tournament.
Two people were wounded when militia tried to break up the demonstrations that centred around the main livestock market in an Islamist stronghold in the capital's north, residents said.
"The Islamic militia of the area issued an order to stop them watching films as well as the World Cup this year in Germany," said Elmi Muse, a resident contacted by Reuters.
"It is unacceptable to oppress the people," he added.
Similar moves by Islamist militia to close cinemas and video stores in Mogadishu last November triggered heavy fighting that killed at least 12 people and wounded more than 20.
Leaders of the capital's influential Islamic courts oppose Western and Indian films which they say promote immorality in the mainly Muslim nation of 10 million people.

Hopefully these are false allegations, but if it's tru, then the Wadaads are making some stupid mistakes already. They should focus on the bigger picture instead of worrying about some kids watching a soccer game.
May Allah give our Wadaads the right wisdom to bring our capital and country back on it's feet. Aamiin.

Seculars, clanists and qabiilists never cease to amaze me. Is watching the world cup more important than what the wadaads are providing; peace, law, order, ability to go anywhere in Mogadishu without dil, dhac, kufsi, isbaaro, etc? So what if you can't watch the world cup? You are gonna die?
I remember in the early 90's, Mogadishu cinemas used to show the worst kind of pornographic movies. I would imagine such movies used to be shown until recently. I also can imagine the uproar of those who grew up watching such movies after the wadaads banned it. This news about the wadaads banning watching the world cup could be totally fake, such as the news claiming Iran has introduced laws requiring non-Muslims (Jews, Christians) to wear certain colors identifying them. Even if it's not fake, I don't see what's the big deal about it. I barely watch movies, TV, games, etc, and millions (including Americans, Europeans, etc) are like me.

Every somali I know of wants an islamic state to surface in somalia. The problem is only that many equate islamic state/sharia with tribalism. Islam is being abused in somalia. Our great faith is being hijacked by self appointed tribal leaders. These wadaads that are praised are those who only sentence poor/defensless people from minority clans. They occupy riverine areas.
The supporters here on this medium have a nostalgic feeling about bringing islamic rule ( a noble cause) but lets not beat our drums in celebrations. In my opinion these wadaads have seen a power vaccum, unpopular warlords and siezed the opportunity. They used islam.
I am passing judgement when they capture the warlords in Muqdisho and sentence them.
Until then they are nothing but warlords.

I agree with they must capture these warlords and hung them they are hiding behind their qabiil, but it seems most qabiils in Mogadishou have their qaiil Islamic millitia under the Islamic,so they can go and sort out the warlords from their qabiil so that there is no escapegoat and the excuse for qabyalad, that's why I believe this time MAXKAMADUHU WOULD succed.

There is one thing wanting a government for your people. But not allowing them to do what they want is stupid. No one can force someone to do anything. They have to be a good muslim for themselves not because they are being forced to. That is what is wrong with people, they think enforcing rules and regulations can stop being from doing what they don't want. It's their grave, it's their death. Whether they go to hell or heaven. Everyone dies alone.
