"I am worried simply because the same war-lords who have been profiting from the misery and chaos of Somalia are now claiming to be Maxkamadaha Islaamiga ah..."

If the usual killings, rapings & lootings had continued, if the Maxkamadaha Islaamiga had been obscure to you as it were before, if the Maxkamadaha Islaamiga hadn't become a force to reckon with, a force that couldn't threaten the secular warlords & lifestyle of other regions- then perhaps, you would have bee in tranquil, you wouldn't have initiated this topic and would have gone about your usual business. Today, there is significantly less violence, killings, rapings & lootings- and that alone is a call for optimism and hope.

I for one pray for those who have managed to establish this level of order, peace and the least violence in 15 years. May Allah SWT strengthen their resolve.

Don't worry, they(at least the hawiye shiekhs) have no interest in the north. Worry about the local shiekhs there though. Burco is already controlled by the wadaads, even though they give people the impression it is controlled by the local adminstration there.

Kambuli is right. Waryaa Qansa, arent you afraid the maxkamado might start some shit in Gedo and disturb the peace there? "Peacefull regions" doesnt necessarily equal Puntland and Somaliland you know. I think many of the ppl who support the maxkamado are being too naive.

I was supporting the maxkamado untill I heard that the warlords have now joined them. That is very hypocritical. If the maxkamado-warlord alliance wants to succeed they have to start being realistic about their position in Somalia. Hadii kale we will be seeing massacre of al-itixaad the sequel.

Maxkamada are not playing around, they have many different qabiils, there was even a Sacad Muuse HA who died for the maxkamad.

I've been reading that Qanyare and Yalaxow have joined the maxkamado after being pressured.

Samatr, time will tell if the maxkamado are fighting for a noble cause or not. I just dont hope that they attempt anything in that will disturb peace in peacefull regions. If they do so, then that is a clear proof that they are xukun doon.
