Quote Gurey25@hinduism is wierd isnt it,
but it gave birth something more sublime
Budhism"

Gurey25 I understand that, but all the other religions gave birth to athiesms and other followings that refuted religious righteouness.

If you read the history behind revelaing this Aayah 48 you would understand it. Plus this Aayah 'nosekhat' other verse in Surat Furqan.

In Surat Zumar Aayah 53 Allah says: إِنَّ اللَّه يَغْفِر الذُّنُوب جَمِيعًا " A Man said to Prophet(PBUH) ' And Shirk?' Then this Aayah was revealed and by the way the Aayah you quoted isn't full Ayah.

"Alla forgives not that partners (shirk)should be set up with Him but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills; and whoever sets up partners with AllAh in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin".

To deny Allah isn't natural, it's agains human nature. We all born with knowing Allah but only misleaded people and arrogants would deny their creator.

So, That is how Quran explains it self and it doesn't read verses from here and there. You need to read all of them, that is how to be understand Islam.
"Surely, Allah does not forgive associating anything with Him, and He forgives whatever is other than that to whomever He wills." (al-Nisa 4:48 and 116)

The implication of the above verse is that Allah pardons all sins and crimes committed by Muslims not matter how henious, including those of mass murderers such as Saddam Hussein for example, yet metes out the most severest of tortures for pacifist good doers like Mahatma Ghandi, on the basis that the former proclaims the shahadah, while the latter doesn't, despite the fact that the latter has never lifted a finger against a soul, and has probably done more during his life time to promote humanitarianism, as well as having consistently worked for the improvement and betterment of human lives.

Doesn't sound terribly fair for a god who's supposedly "the most just" now does it?
Fluffy Feathers

Telling me to go grab a beer isn't a surreptitious attempt to avoid answering the question is it? I expect more of an intellectual response from you than some of the other wankers such as the stalker above you.

In any case I think I've illustrated well the ridiculous absurdity, flaws and contradictions in the notion of heaven and hell.

As for your offer that I go for a drink- gladly, provided you come and join me at my local pub- White Horse. I'm sure we could get you a non-alcoholic beverage, they do the most exquisite orange juice there.
