They just need to keep the peace and as soon as there is peace in Somalia, they can have a proper referendum and get a peaceful independence from Somalia, just like Montenegro from Serbia. Or, they can have regional autonomy in a federal state. The second option is probably better since we are all Somali with the same language and culture and would want to have close economic ties. As long as the people are involved in the decision making, IÂ’m sure Somaliland will get whatever is best for Somalilanders.

Only if we had more progressive Somalis who think like you. Somaliland will do what is best for Somalilanders, no amount of tears over hopeless midnimo will ever bring Somaliland back, but, logical thinkers like you can bring about peace and understanding between Somalilanders and Somalis. Somaliland needs Somalia and Somalia needs Somaliland, we can be 1 in many ways and still have two different governments, I believe it is possible, after all it is what the people "Somalilanders" want
