My opinions lies in what Islamic law says. You wouldn't understand that would you though? You honestly think 2 wrongs make a right. Illogical, but not surprising of your kind.

Mike is a muslim, at least thats what he claims so you cant just accuse him of not thinking like one just because you were born as a muslim.
Caramel,
There is something fishy about your nick...which one are you after this time?? Xplaya or Samatar or maybe gurey??

Cawar, aren't we as Muslims, supposed to go out of our way to learn the Diin and soul-search? Or do we leave it at the Shahadah and stay our previous paths? BTW, I could care less if Mike is Muslim, Jewish, Hindu etc etc. Two wrongs never make a right.

Smart ass, huh?? But fair enough. Now, as CC said "Marry the guy." What do you do if the guy aint willin to get married ?? Have the child out of wedlock?? And dont say "I wouldn't be in the sit in the first place", cuz being as perfect as you are, im aware of that. CC, and I, are asking you to address the scenario as presented, not launch one of your many petty personal attacks against me.

The solution is very simple......
Girls need to stop acting all 'Miss Independent Woman I don't need a man' and understand that marriage is the best route....and as early as possible at that.
"But how can you get married if you're not in love?" Love will come, just like how you started to love the guy when you opened your legs for him.
BTW, why can you have sex if you're not in love?
I understand it may be hard to do practically, but I'm against the youth mentality that you can't get married unless you:
1. Get a PhD
2. Make 90K
3. Fell ready for marriage.
That's all just BS
You can't reconcile being horny & not wanting to get married..........this is why abortions happen.....
your body is tellin you that you need this, your mind is influenced by the media.......conflicting influences are screwing people up lately.

Another tip is to avoid unnecessary contact from the opposite sex.
Becase if you are "jammin, grindin, or whinin" with a guy in the club, your chances of gettin pregnant increase astronomically.
Put your hijab back on and stop huggin all your guy friends.......because it's a hug to you, for him it's a chance to for his chest to feel your boobs
Just basic nature.....did you ever used to play with magnets as a kid? How close can you get them before you lose control of them and they cling together?
Nobody's perfect, I understand that........but there are steps you can take to protect yourself.

Mike, I still would have said the same thing if it was someone else.
I never claimed to be perfect. I need proof of where I claimed to be perfect. Please post supporting posts here, thanks.
That aside.. I have often wondered what girls in this case do, simply because it is a reality. If it was my cousin, sister etc? I would advise her (not tell, since it is her life) that she should act like an adult and take of her own. She was brave and adult enough to do whatever she did in the first place, now she must continue and take care of her responsibilities. She has to face all the consequences of her actions. What are we teaching if we encourage people to 'throw away' their responsibilities? What kind of pathetic attitude is that encouraging?
We'll end up with a generation of immature brats who believe their problems can be 'disposed' of (even worse than now, sadly). That will only create future problems. Of course, in the case of Muslim girls, if they had only obeyed Allah in the first place, they wouldn't have to worry about making hard decisions like this (non-consensual is a different story).

Good points. But agian, CC asked people to address the scenario as presented, not how they should be.
""But how can you get married if you're not in love?" Love will come, just like how you started to love the guy when you opened your legs for him."
Again, what if dude has no desire to marry, or refuses to marry??

If a guy refuses to get married, he has an obligation to control his desires, starting with lowering his gaze and fasting.

michael_ital,
I know what your'e saying........but the point is that there shouldn't be sex before marriage.
If guys knew they wouldn't get it before they married the girl, you would instantly see a lot more guys willing to get married.
But girls want to ask the questions after fact.........and the guy's like: "It was
just a boooty call!"
And then girls who previously thought they were too good to get married and were looking down on the concept as 'holdin them down & oppressive" end up being single mothers with no support from a husband.
That's pretty sad

Good points, and I agree with you. But again, we all know the deathly fear kids have of shaming their parents, and the sense of shame that the parents feel when confronted with such a predicament, and the stigma amongst the community that accompanies it. It can make for some unsound judgement and decision making.

but the point is that there shouldn't be sex before marriage.
Agreed. But in CC's scenario there was. So, what does one do now?

Mike, the whole problem is lack of Islam. The parents of course are going to get angry, but that should be about it. Note I have said should: if they go against Islam, then that is a separate issue. They should then work out a way of helping the girl. Yes, it is shameful. But what else do you expect when you transgress Islam's limits?
