These evolutionists are very persuasive until they reach the point where they tell u that humans are descended from monkeys.
You clearly are ignorant of what evolution theory proposes. It doesn't say humans "descended from monkeys." Where did you get such wacky idea from?

It is true one needs truckloads of faith in science to believe in Evolution. afterall no one ever saw reptiles turn into birds.
Science is not idle speculation Galol. It's premised on what can be evidentially supported. If there's no evidence for an idea, it doesn't get the lofty status say Evolution Theory or Gravity Thoery now enjoy. This is why science is the BEST tool at our disposal for discerning TRUTH from FICTION.

About no one ever seeing reptiles evolving into birds, the obvious answer would be: no one has yet lived that long. It took hundred of millions of years for the process to run it's course. But if the criteria for accepting whether something descended from something else is being able to SEE it happen, then defend the FACT you are descended from your great grandfather. Afterall, using your reasoning no one (at least yet) has been able live and witness the trans-generational descend of YOU (or any human) from their great grandpa. Of course that's ludicrous request. We don't need to see our descent from our great grandpa, we have what's called INFERENCE. We see men father kids and their boys fathering kids of their own. Therefore, we can ONLY infer that at some point a great grandpa of ours fathered our grandpa who fathered our dads who in turn fathered us. The same holds for evolution. We see evolution of species ALL THE TIME around us. Just look at the mind boggling number of horse and dog breeds we've created (called ARTIFICIAL SELECTION). We see evolution taking place via the same mechanism. Change an animal's environment and before long the animal will respond and change to be more adoptable (or die out). The fossil evidence, and we got montains of 'em, give us more than enough good reasons to hold the view that: 1) we all descended from common ancestor. 2) birds descended from Dinosaurs 3) humans descended from ape-like creatures.

Dhuusa Dheer,

Do you know Somali scientists have classified two kinds of dhuuso.

Samatara Dhug weyn

and Reer Degey dabbaal

Reer Degey dabbaal is the silent deadly one that just creeps in on you unsuspected. And it is deadly

Samatara Dhug weyn is noisy and percussive but essentially harmless.

Yours is Samatara dhugweyn I believe unless you are hawiye or jareer and are partial to Digir baartay. Then all bets are off Laughing

Er Dhuuso Dheer

If i may be serious, If all these unlikely things are possible and monkeys may turn into humans, How long do you think that Somalis in Canada and Scandanavia willl mutate and adapt to the environment by turning white.

Note to stock market players, Consider short-selling Diana, depending on sister dhuusa dheer's answer.

You could've just condensed all of that and said: I'm ignorant of Evolution Theory. Instead of making a fool out of yourself.
monkeys may turn into humans,
I'm still waiting where you got the idea Humans evolved from monkeys. If you can't then admit you were speaking out of your ass when you said that palpably dumb remark.

Zero! Somalis and every living human on earth are already mutants. You know, this is WHY we're all different from each other. Each one of us is living, breathing, talking mutant.

http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm ... extra.html

..."Melanin, the brown pigment in the skin, acts as a natural sunscreen. It protects against UV, and populations in the tropics are darker skinned since there is more sunlight where they live. UV ages the skin, causes skin cancer, and—most significant to Jablonski and Chaplin's work— breaks down folate, essential vitamin B needed for cell division and producing new DNA.

Pregnant women in particular require large amounts of folate to support rapid cell division in the embryo. Women of reproductive age are advised to take folate supplements to prevent serious birth defects such as spina bifida. So if a higher melanin level is so beneficial, why isn't everyone dark-skinned?

In their analysis of human evolutionary history, Jablonski and Chaplin concluded that modern humans most likely evolved in the tropics, where they were exposed to high UV levels. But as they moved into regions away from the equator, where UV levels are lower, humans became fairer so as to allow enough UV radiation to penetrate their skin and produce vitamin D, the "sunshine vitamin," also obtained from eating fish and marine mammals. Vitamin D is essential for maintaining healthy blood levels of calcium and phosphorous, and thus promoting bone growth.

Skin color, according to Jablonski and Chaplin, basically becomes a balancing act between the evolutionary demands of photo-protection and the need to create vitamin D in the skin."...

I'm not ashamed of Evolution Theory because as a scientist (life sciences) I've studied it extensively and know what it states. I got no illusions or misunderstandings of the Theory. You on the other hand are talking so much hot air. Am I justified in accusing you of ignorance. Why, yes. Anyone with more than passing understanding of Evolution Theory would chuckle at your pathetic caricature of the single most important organising principle of all life sciences: EVOLUTION. No theory let along Evolution Thoery postulates anything remotely resembling your grotesque caricature of Evolution Theory.

But you KNOW Evolution = Humans = Ex Monkeys, right? Show us WHERE in Evolution theory anything of the kind is posited.

Cilmiile,

No. They just need more food sources of vitamin D. Esquimos ( who are relatively recent immigrants in the far North) do just fine with dark skin by eating lots of fish.

Check out this link. Doesn't surprise me. Look at the names involved!
