SOAS? Awesome uni walaal...was there for an atheism debate the other day, very enlightening Im suprised you have a qabiil name on the forums, usually the Somalis there are Marxists without the qabiil idealogy

I made this account long ago, and its been like 3 years since i actually logged back on.

Secondly, is there an active somali society in SOAS? pretty clueless to these things and what are u studying? its only fair u tell us

Most of the Somali society have already graduated, there are only two founding members left and they are final years who dont have the time. That said, whenever we have needed a room to invite scholars etc to SOAS they are actively involved. They are two sisters in hijab and jeans, very loud and slightly annoying, but if you approach them they will welcome you as they did me.

There are talks of Rageh Omar coming to SOAS soon as arranged by former SOAS students and those two...and whichever talk is coming next is usually distributed through Facebook, most of the time it will end up on the University of London Students group on FB.
