Isaaq are dir, you should have digir and mirifle on there instead. Dir and hawiye are samaaleÂ…brothers.
Sheikhaal are hawiye
Eelaay are digil and mirifle and are therefore Somali
Tunni are also Somali and I mean tribally just like the other madhibaan/midgaan clans. I heard they are also related to the samaale if not part of the samaale.
The jareer/Bantu are Somali by nationality – not Somalian(there is no such thing). They are no different to the barawani and other groups that are not really part of the real Somali tribe.
Anyway, this all does not matter because in the modern world all that is for the history books and family trees nothing more. Nationalism is the way forward and soon enough the fabric that holds the tribal system together will be no more.
Eyes,
Isnt that comforting to know....

I donÂ’t know what youÂ’re implying but I am smart enough to see the system of clan and tribe for its historical significance and to reject its use misuse.
Anyway, itÂ’s comforting to know that Somalis in Somalia have moved beyond this backwardness called qabiilism.
You Isaaq people should realise that you are not arabs but are Somali The more you reject your ancestors the more stupid you sound.
The Isaaq are dirÂ….. they are related to the gadabursi and cisa. You can claim to be whatever but that is not going to change the facts.
If thats the case you are not even Somali. You do know in Somali history books you guys are described as pagans, do you believe this fact?
How can you deny someones lineage when they know their history and know where their patriarch is buried.
I know why you people call us Dir, so you can fuck us up in your 4.5 formula for clan representation. Keep calling us Dir see where that gets you.

Tell me one thing, what were the qureish before they embraced Islam?
.
.
.
I thought so, they were paganÂ…
What were the binu Israel before they embraced Judaism?
They were pagansÂ…
Some of my ancestors were pegan before the word of Islam came to themÂ…. That is nothing. At least IÂ’m not denying them just to be close to some desert tribe that didnÂ’t even rule Somalia for a decade.
If you are not dir, they you are not Somali which is derived from the word samaaleÂ… If you are not samaale, you will have to convince the samaale people, the tribe Somali tribe that you are SomaliÂ… Since the Samaale are the true inhabitants of the land. The Samaale are kushitic African group who can trace their ancestry to the kingdom of kush. The Somali people are not denying where they come from and Allah guides whomever he chooses and the word got to them and they accepted it. Pagan my ancestor may have been but he will always be my ancestor. It doesnÂ’t matter who the Somali married into, that part of my genealogy is more significant than any foreign blood that runs through my vains.

Gurey its ironic isn't it that we are the only Somali clan who knows where they come from and can finger point where their patriarch is burried, I guess its jealousy that causes them to make up lineages for us.
Eeyaahe Ina Indhoole
Cushitic is a linguistic group not a group of people, secondly Kush was in Sudan/Eritrea area not Somalia. Don't steal peoples history if you have none.

If it was true, why would we deny it?
it would be even more advantagous politically to be Dir.
Somaliland would be involved in every little part of Somalia, and Ethiopia
and we would poke our noses into Juba and Kismayo.
hell you would have had , Dir/Isaaq, Harti, Ogadeen and Hawiye fighting over Kismayo.
