eyes: I support my leader because he stands for freedom from religious fanatics who will destroy our customs, freedoms and traditions.

That guy only stands for killing people including my uncle. I donÂ’t think anyone from the UIC sees him as anything, I mean anyone that flees wearing a jilbaab and niqaab doesnÂ’t qualify for a second thought. And since he is in his clan area, the responsibility is with his clan unless there is a foreign threat which has to be countered. Anyway, you can support him all you want but donÂ’t be deluded. The man is not fighting for a greater good. He is fighting for his isbaaro!

People don't get the noble sacad clan involved in this, sacad suppoerted the icu since the early 1990s.
@ 1990s
There was no ICU in the 90s stop getting people confused

eyes their were icu in the 90ste but they were weak enough, since the revolution turned in to an tribal war, but slowly were they organising them selfs and till they had alot of supporters to kick out the warlords, the al xittaad movement was one of them, but their were alot of wise leaders who refused to join them since even the leaders of al xittaad were bunch of tribalists, although the leader of sheikh hassan dahir aweys was an former leader of the al xittaad, but isnt strange that you dont hear any of those former leaders sarakiils joining the uic

faqash, there were Islamic Courts but there was no ICU. The courts didnÂ’t have much power like you said and they couldnÂ’t operate in all the areas. Most of the time they had to beg the warlords to free kidnapped people and bring murderers to justice. The point is, the wadaado were the only people that used to try to stop injustices but they didnÂ’t have a union and they didnÂ’t work as one organisation. Hence why you canÂ’t say there was ICU before 2006.
Galia, southern Muqdisho is a lot more mixed than the north and I guess Ceydiid deserves the credit for that. But the wadaado did not have anything to do with Ceydiid and back then all the HG supported Ceydiid.

Caydiid (Allahu Naxaristo) disliked the fundamentalist Aweys & the Al Itixaad. He used to kick them out of his area of control which forced Aweys to live in Puntland.
Caydiid was a secularist and strongly opposed fundamentalist, radicals like Aweys. That is why there was no HG courts while the Abgaal set theirs up in 1992.
