Gaclisa u made 1968 posts.. you are reaching the deadly 1969, the most hated year in somali history...
Compared to 1991 we were kings....and I mean all somalis...including your uncles.

Non sense, in all somali history tody somalis are better off in busniess and technology then ever before.
Small towns like Buhoodle have no days electricty, water, and 500 home phone lines. when Axmed Saleeemaan Dafle the interrior ministry of the Dhulos and Afweyn's in law most Dhulbahnate defcated on their wells, not at least they have clean water

You are equating the inevitable advances(technological or otherwise) seen in the last decade to a whole different scenario that was present in 1969...and you are comparing ornages and apples here.
I sometimes laugh at some ppl who see the use of mobile phones as an advancement as if the presence of Siad would have prevented them...when the whole economy and infrastructure of the country is in shambles compared to 16 yrs ago.

Cawar, That's very debatable, see I laugh at people who think we were kings, EVER! Relative measure of existence and superficial stability doesn't transilate into being Kings. As to the economy if you ask me it's a lot better now than 17 years ago without the constricting hand of government. Just look at Bakaraha alone a driving force not to mention thriving cities i.e Bosaaso and Hargiesa.

Demure Despite your bias(you could say the same about me)...I hope you got me when I made the comment about Kings that it was metaphor and had more to do with feelings.
With that said...Suuqa Bakaarah was always there and thriving...taxes somehow being paid in one way or another, no dealings of Arms in suuqa Bakaraha which translates into more looting and killing in today's standards..and btw....it was shared by all somalis which obviously means that you had more business.
I really thought you judgement was more shrewd than that..

Cawar, I got your metaphor alright, I thought you were selling your self short. See If I felt like a king I would expect a lot more from life than an improvised existance at best. But again that's just me

Cawar, was that unintended faux pas? are you admitting to not having a life outside of the cyber world?
Are you having all the neighborhood kids rining your door bell tonight? I can't work from them...

Demure,
To my surprise and perhaps to yours too...I have life other than Cyper.
No trick or treat kids....I am at work...but I went out to get a bite...and I found older crowds asking me for treats..esp....girls.
