No doubt Hollywood is interested in Africa now-- in the wakes of Continental crises. (Civil war, destituteness & most importantly AIDS) Hollywood stars--particularly the A list stars-are embarking on the latest 'fashion' explosion; to help out the continent of 'Dying Africans' , i believe they even thing its 'cool'. It was first started by Oprah--who somehow --through some bad mid life crisis--& in an attempt to fill a 'void'! (You know for being childless & without a husband) So mother Oprah--as the Queen of trends for Hollywood--embarked on South Africa. She rationalized it as 'My mission in life'-- & 'Now i know why i didn't have any children'! (Please give me a break.) Ok--wait--give me a break as to how she rationalized her philanthropy kindness & not for the good she is actually doing. Yes- definitely probs for --acutally 'doing something' for the Africans. (Good for her) Since then she has an academy school for girls opened & really is paving the way for the rest of Hollywood to follow. Then, came of course Angelina--who has her own issues. Estranged from her actor father-- confused by her sexuality & her drug fast life life--she started adopting kids-from combodia & God knows where-which juxtaposed with the her new boo-- 'My Brad pitt'--who was having his own mid life crisis as well-- Old age. He is now 40 something & no longer my Brad Pitt. Did u see his recent movie preview--Babel??-- He looks awful! Then came that old rock star --i forget his name--with his funky colorful glasses & then came Bill clinton of course-- he is the worst- he Pseudo motives clearly evident. All these people have crisis of their own, coincidentally. They see Africa's woes as an extension of their 'empty' lives & feel obligated to do something, to make their woes seem 'charitable' or 'noble'-God forbid. (no doubt makes them forget their issues as well --yes a healthy way of approaching their problems but c'mmon? You have to work them out before working on others ) I am not exactly saying it is a bad thing to help Africa, (ok maybe i am --little bit lol) --but essentially -Africa is benefiting from this holly benevolence ; but i am questioning their Long- Gevity in investing more help.Is this help going to fade away soon? Is this a temprary---occupation fashion trend? Will they move on--to their next 'new' thing in the season?? Who knows--time will tell. Now Madona has an adoon nigger kid from again -God knows where-----paving more accessories for Hollywood. (good for little David-he will have a fabulous life as the kid of Madonna lol)-- The prevalent question is: are these stars complimenting their won inflated egoes?? They all can't wait to appear on Oprah's grandiose day time talk show & of course- enjoy the rave applaus. In the processes also receive kindness award--while poor africans--are dying by millions in Aids. (which not so bad also--with depopulation & all lol )



At the end of the day or scheme-- -- we shouldn't exactly say they are improving African image but really---bringing awareness to the forgotten dark ugly continent.(Good for them i say again.) Maybe inshallah something will come off it & the continent after loosing millions of Africans --will be almost empty & we could all go there & vacation under a safari moon; peaceful & deserted like a ghost town.
