This mothaphucka is already claiming that he is the first somali blogger? I doubt tht --cuz I thought I was the first somali blogger -althoug I didn't write about world issue -I wrote about things that concern me-I was the first one to own blog the first time they were introduced --but this mothaphucka things that we are too stupid to be bloggers --so let him carry his title until I hack and own his website!

So, just because IÂ’m not Somali does not mean that I can't write about it, or that I can't have an interest about the country and its politics. Does this mean that no one can talk about Iraq unless they are from Iraq? Well of course not, that would be absurd. For example, one of the most known writers on Somalia and Somalis is a white British man named Lewis, I. M.

I think someone has a love-hate relationship with Somalis.

I would not call him great, I mean he is not Tvetan Todorov or anything, but he is good. Also, I don't like to dichotomise the issue as good vs. bad, but I will say this, he does have a good understanding of the situation in Somalia.
Bashir Goth is a great writer, thinker and journalist. He has been fighting Wahabbists for years well before they took over Mogadishu. He is a good man and this piece shows it.[/quote]
