Jeffrey,

Kismayo was probably the turning point against the ICU.

Now they are seeing, just like I was predicting that it would be a serious mistake for them.

Instead of working with people like Hiiraale, who was open to working with the ICU, they took the "My way or the highway" approach.

Now, all these innocent people are getting killed because of incompetent tactics from the so-called ICU leaders.........the only member of the ICU who seems to have the wisdom/speech of a leader are Sh. Shariif and Sh. Rooboow.

My abti was a very sincere wadaad, the ICU asked him to go to Kismayo after the events to try to make peace with everybody.

Now, they asked him to go to Baardheere to try to mediate because that is where he was from and he was killed because of saber-rattling by the ICU. May Allah reward him for his intentions if they were good.

If you are a 'leader', you have to take every step possible to avoid bloodsheed. That is the ultimate goal of an Islamic Court.

Now he has left 8 kids, the oldest being 11.

Indeed, walaal and I have condemned this strongly whilst you see the uninformed fervent supporters jumping around as if it was a justified invasion . This is why I predict that the average ICU supporter on this board who claim to support the ICU, do not even posses the basic knowledge of the sciences to condemn the transgressions.

Islamic Courts are just human beings and they make mistakes. So, i think it was good idea to negotiate (even though Bare rejected that) with Bare Hiiraale. However, it was good idea Courts to capture Kismaayo because we did not just want to capture Kismaayo, but we want to capture the whole Somalia and impose the Sharia Law inshallah. So anybody who is against that, must be expelled regardless of his/her qabiil and what sort of status he has in our country.

Btw, instead of wasting our time talking about Hiiraale and Kismaayo, let's pray for our Mujaahiidiin.

Hiiraale didn't have a problem w/ Sharia, maybe he didn't agree to have the ICU in Kismayo, but if the ICU was only concerned w/ Sharia, Kismayo & Gedo already announced they would rule w/ Sharia YEARS before the ICU got on the scene.

Is the ICU the only officially 'Approved by Allah" Sharia group in Somalia?

Why did the Prophet (saw) stay 10+ years in Mecca just giving people dawah and practicing Islam and giving dacwa while being patient.

He didn't declare 'jihad' for years EVEN though he was the Prophet of Allah.

If you have no patience, no xikma, you are a jaahil that is going to make destructive mistakes to the detriment of the common person you claim to 'lead'.

I agree with Gedo-Boy,

As long as men such as Sheikh Indocaade hold high level position in the Islamic Courts, the Somali folks should be wary of every move they make.

It seems to me that the majority of Somalis have a negative attitude towards the ICU especially since the Kismayo situation. You gotta admit that they had alot of support until they pulled that un-necessary move. They are their worst enemy. They have shown their true mentality. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

Wise-Man, there is no justification whatsoever for the invasion of Kismayoo. In fact, that invasion was Xaran since it disrupted the peace of the city, something which has been vehemently rebuked by the early generations (i.e. Salaf). Further, Kismayoo was under the Shari'ax Law and was to be fully implemented when Jubbaland was created.

The trangression of that move is something that every knowledgeable Muslim condemns. Why? Because it is against the principles of Islam. Invasion of terroritory is only justified if the ruler has apostatised or the Muslim inhabitants are being barred from practising their Deen.

You still haven't provided an Islamic reason to invade a peaceful city.

Wise-Man, 2-3 months ago was saying that "we only attacked Kismayo b/c foreign troops were going to come........we don't want to occupy Somalia"

Now, he is changing his tune because he saw the truth.

So, the ICU's justification in all these attacks were pure lies..........Aweys and all of them were saying: "We will not invade all of Somalia"

so they kept making new excuses for every village they attacked.

They took advantage of a lot of people's good intentions.
