I felt like the UIC and in particular Sh. Shariif disproved my opinions and perceptions of Somalis. To be honest I didnÂ’t think Somalis had any good in them and the few good people were too inactive to ever make a difference. He made me change my mind and I started to see Somalis in a better light.

I think the UIC and its leaders helped to reawaken the peopleÂ’s sense of pride, nationalism and hope. They managed to unite people and for once the people started seeing other Somalis as their brothers and sisters in Islam instead of their rival clansÂ…..instead of remembering their dead relatives or their humiliating experience at checkpoint or even their hardship inside SomaliaÂ….they united to clean the streets, to help the poor, to fund education, to illuminate discrimination, to fight for justice, to disarm and work for peaceÂ…..they searched for the good in others and trusted in Islam and their Muslim leaders.

For as long as I live and consider myself a Somali, my leaders will be the leaders of the UIC. Leaders are chosen, heroes are born and no matter how what they do, the heroes of SomaliaÂ….will always have the support patriotic Somalis. Smile
'Like many other Somalis, I watched the unfolding human tragedy in Somalia'

TZ---you are a Tanzanian --why are u pretending to be Somali? Confused Ok granted, you are passionate about the woes & wars of Somalia, you care about your roots,-- but dont you think you are a little bit hypochondriac? Shouldn't you leave this matter to the experts?(ie people who have divulged their qabils & proven their Somaliniimo?)

Its like me--born in the West-- & whinning & crying in the general forums & campaigning to run for Somalia new interim Pseudo government office.Thats Ridiculous right?--But no more ridiculous than your emotional, over -emphasized Caalal. Rolling Eyes
lol Basra, I and my parent might have born in Tanzania..but my roots are in Somalia..you don't have to born in Somalia or be of qabil persona to feel that tragedy that has befallen Somalis... Very Happy Very Happy

When the ICU told Uncle Sam to fock off, it sealed it's fate. The US is not going to let any Wahabi government gain a toe hold anywhere. I warned you all here, but you dumb focks don't listen. It's always the same with you ignorant bastards "Allah is the best of planners" "You can't do anything" blah, blah, blah. Then when we do do something, you cry foul and act like it's a surprise. Are you guys illiterate or just focking stupid?
