I bet all the "American" teams that win the Stanley cup all the time have more Canadian stars... at least 60% of their top players .

Costa if the league is 24/30 teams american more often then not an american team will win bud. But regardless the top players are usually Canadian e.g Carolina Cam Ward etc Tbay Vinnie Lecavalier, Marty St, Brad richards, etc

Not sure how accurate that percentage is, but Euros are the most talented bunch on the NHL. Maybe Canadians and Americans have more, but most are third or forth liners if not semi goons with little talent, since total goons have been systematically driven out of the game by the new collective bargaining agreement. The Swedes, the Finish, the Russians and Checks are simply amazing puck dazzlers.

LOL, obviously you do not shyt about Hockey, when is the last time you looked at the scoring sheet leaders which is a pretty good index to judge the most productive/talented players.....the ones are consistently on top are Euros....
I think the influx of Euro players have really helped the NHL with the speed and puck handling skills, they are used to play on a wider ice surface in Europe, and they adapted pretty well to smaller ice surface.
Did you know that Scottie Bowman once had all FIVE Russian starters for a game in Detroit, I still remember Don Cherry and Stan Makita whining about that.
