To be honest with you, Isaaq people and men come across as rude when you are from other parts of Somalia and accostumed to Aboowe/Abaayo macaan shiidh, as Isaaqs have a very conservative culture, their choice of words is more to the point when most Reer Koonfur people like to go around and around in circles, Waqooyi men are more direct and appreciate honesty and bluntness when talking to them. So next time you visit Dahabshiil say to him "Adeer lacag baan dirayaaye ma furantahay mise mar kalaan kugu soo noqdaa" you told him what you needed and at the same time gave him the option of returning which is respectful, respect is big business in the Isaaq community, that is why you need to be careful with your words, this is one of the reasons Isaaqs are more isolated from the larger Somali communities, there is a gap in culture and a gap in Somali lnaguage usage. However, once you really get to know Isaaq people well you will come to understand them better and find out what a wonderful, generious, hospitable, respectful and honest people they are.
