I drove that whole patch of desert a million times. Around King Khalid Military City, Into the Desert Southwest of Al Qaysumah to where VII Corps headquarters was, up to 1ID and 1AD and First Cav headquarters, up Wadi Al Batin. I was all over that area. Drove it every day. There's some swampy ground that is dry EXCEPT when it rains and turns into a quagmire, about 15 ks from Al Qaysumah. Near the volcanic rock formations out there (no roads, just open ground for the most part). Nearly got stuck out there one night. Socked.

seems like Shariif isn't as dumb as i thought Laughing

hes happy that the ceeydh mafia leaders of aweys and indhocade are out of the way.
