Thanks J-Easy.
Alright.
Now, you vagrants are going to be introduced to a small snippet of the most popular poem on the face of the Earth; The Qaseedah Burdah by Imam Busairi. Very long poem in praise of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). This particular Youtube video is the Burdah being sung in its original Andalusian form, by the Morrocan Fez Singers:

A nice start, Padishah. We don't have enough annoyingly smug pedants.
I liked the Burdah. “How can you deny such a love when true tears and real heartbreak testify so strongly against you?â€
Did you read the sequels to Dune? I thought God Emperor of Dune was very good, but the last two books were a chore to read.

God-Emperor of Dune was extremely good. I was left speechless by Leto's sacrifice of everything for the Golden Path. I was left wondering how Hwi Noree knew! How ?!? The closing few pages of the book were worth reading the whole series, I think. Were I in a similar situation, would I have the courage to sacrifice for what is right and/or necessary, and be despised for it?
Yeah, Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse of Dune were shite! Lakin, I need a conclusion and some sort of closure on the story, and the last two novels in the series are close to being published by Herbert Junior. Can't wait for them. They had better be good, and not the other trollop that Brian wrote with the number of prequels.
As for the Burdah, I don't think there is any comporable piece of poetry ever produced! And it being sung in the traditional Andalusian style is a bonus, because Andalucia was reconquered by the Christians and despoiled by Catholic Trinitarian belief. But it was preserved in Morocco, alhamdulillah.

Re: Civilising the Barbarian - The Arts
Padishah,
I have not read the prequels and don't intend to. I had a hard enough time getting through Chapterhouse: Dune. I don't think Dune can have a conclusion really. It's not a story about individuals, after all. Ecology is always in flux, maybe that was the message at the end; that there are always bigger and better predators while the prey get wily too...
As for Leto's self-sacrifice, it's beautifully constructed. I was left wondering the same thing. I guess that was the intent. Godlike beings who sacrifice all for humanity crop up in mythology often, don't they? Maybe we create them to comfort us since the universe is clearly indifferent to our suffering.
The Burdah is very beautiful. Some of the translations are clearly awkward but the message of longing comes across. Andalucia's strength lies in being "despoiled" by successive religious movements. The Burdah itself is testament to that rich history.
