Yes, Darfur conflict is very complicated, but why should the government take the blame on themselves? They support Janjaweed criminal beduins who made many atrocities but gov didn't start this war. Every side made very bad things including Darfur rebels. How come the blame always goes to government's support on Janjaweed, but everybody keep quiet who's supporting the other side and who stirred up this conflict from the start? They had what they wanted and now are using Darfur situation as a tool in fulfilling their agenda.

Without defending the gov's decision to unleash Janjaweed militia I fully understand why. They had many problems in the region since rebels started the war and they answered guerilla war with guerilla war. I can't think of many countries more harder to govern than Sudan with it's dozens or hundreds different ethnical groups and religions and they have conflict in south and many other problems keeping their hands full so they support other group to fight for them. We all have to remember that Sudan has an islamic government that establishes shariica law in their country and alhamdulillah economy and living conditions have got better in Sudan since they took power and economy is growing every year. It's unfortunate that the situation is so unstable because revolution or splitting the country will only lead to much worse situation in Sudan, but that is exactly what many outsiders want for their own benefit and those sides are to blame.

Nuh Ha Mim Keller is a respected scholar?

This is a man who called Ibn Arabi a great scholar in his books. Ibn Arabi was a man who was called a great kaafir by the culamaa of his times until this day.

Ibn Arabi wrote for example that Nabi Musa was wrong and his people were right when they made an idol to worship for themselves because Allah is in everything and also inside the statues so you can worship them. And believe me this is not even the sickest idea of Ibn Arabi.

Nuh Ha Mim Keller also praises one other sufi "scholar" called Shaarani.
There was some insane sufi guy who cut off his own penis to get into a mystical sufi state and Shaarani celebrated this man and this incident in his books. Shaarani also wrote that “a man would not attain the levels of the siddiqiin, until he leaves his wife as if she was a widow, his kids as if they were orphans, and takes refuge in dogs pens.”

There is something seriously wrong in this group of people...
