thank you biko.
Re: What is your biggest mistake you ever did?
Congrats for your 3 years off drugs.
We had to fire up the other guitar-player of my rock bands some years ago because of his addiction to heroin. We didn't realise he was on heroin until one night that he was drunk in my home and confessed it to me. I couldn't believe him. He was a biologist, had a lot of culture, had a beautiful and nice wife, a BMW car and ten of the most expensive electric guitars in the market. He asked me that night: "I need you to help me". I asked him how, and he said, "Come with me", so I did it and spent one of the most horrible nights of my life. He took me in his car to the downtown, where he had his heroin dealer. It was the suburbs, with a lot of people with guns and knives and ready to kill you for 1 euro. I had to wait in his car while he was getting his dose. Then he came really high and said: "Let's look for some bittches. I need a fukk". I said "No way", but he was really aggresive and out of his mind. He found a streetwhore, one of those really cheap girls, probably with AIDS. I had to wait out of the car while they were on business. Back home, I told him: "I won't 'help' you never more in my life".
Some weeks later we had a record session in a really expensive studio. We were fast on recording five songs and only need this guitar-player to do his solo and start mixing the songs. It was supposed it would take half and hour for him to do his part. Suddenly, he disappeared and went to the bathroom and had his shoot of heroin. He came back really smiling, like drunk and out of his head again. He turned violent and aggresive when he started playing his part. His started comitting mistake after mistake playing, and saying "Play it again", to the engineer. The hours were passing and we were getting nervous. But he was so violent that we decide to leave him alone until he realised he was in a real bad mood. But he didn't. He started playing really band and asking a new overdub. Finally, it took five hours to record his guitar solo. We had no time for a good mixing and he ruined our record session.
"What's happening to him?", asked the singer. I had to reveal the true: "He's on heroin". Nobody could believe it. Finally, when he recognized he was on heroin, the singer and the rest of the band were straight: "You're out of the band! Take your guitars and go home. We're not firing you because of your drug-addiction, but because you lied to all of us and ruined our session. You should go somewhere to get help".
Some months after, his wife left him. He tried her to come back and, after some weeks, she agreed on going to a beach for a weekend and try to help him. One night, he told her: "I'm gonna by some cigarrettes", and left the house in front the beach. He drove 300 kilometres to find his heroin dealer and get his dose. He drove back the 300 kilometres to the house, thinking that his wife was sleeping. When he reached the place, he found she had left.
I saw him some years ago: "I put my house, my guitars, my wife and my car into my veins, man. I sold everything to get heroin".
This was the last time I saw him.

My biggest mistake in my life is one which I can't do anything about it
I trust people...In this world which we live now, if you trust people you are seen as a naive person... No matter what I tell myself I find myself trusting people...If you help they think they tricked you...I wish I was suspicious of people...

wow you are an ex-junkie and a girl. the only mind altering drug i took was in high school graduation, when i smoked weed and i coughed till my ears bled. other than that, i hate cigerettes, alcohol and all drugs. bravo getting off those dangerous drugs. heroine kills.
back to the topic. my only mistake is believing Helwaa as a good muslim lady interested only in dawah. i know now she is desperate and is in cyber like many women here like zuleika, lil_cutie, dan girl only to find a husband. if she admits, good luck to her.

Re: What is your biggest mistake you ever did?
