Re: abdulahi yusuf welcomed like a king
We are in a bad position but CY and Geeddi are making the best of a bad situation. 3 years they have been patiently pleading with the forces that held the capital hostage to help in the establishment of Somali Statehood, first the warlords then the ICU.
When the Warlords were defeated there was a window of hope and opportunity for the ICU to cooperate with the TFG and establish a government of national unity. But the ICU became greedy and destroyed the last hope for a unified Pan Somali Government.
Now we have Ethiopia and other governments in our midst and that is where it is useful to have a strong national figure like CY in power. After all, he was thrown in Ethiopian jail after he catagorically refused to allow the Ethiopian flag to fly over Balanbale and Goldogob.

Did your uncle told you that fairytale
Everybody knows his history, and why he was trown in jail like the dog he is. He and other Northeastern military official were the ones who in the mids of the 77 war turned sides and tried to collaborate with the Ethiopians.
Go and entertain other people with fairytales

Cabdilaahi Yuusuf doesnt back down. That is why he was jailed by Siyaad and Mengistu. he spent 14 years in Jail. How many hours did you spend in Jail for your beliefs?

CY is a treator and treators dont give a fock about anything nor anyone. so the 14 years he spend inside had nothing to do with what he believed in, but rather proves his nothing but a criminal who did some time.
nothing more nothing less.

Re: abdulahi yusuf welcomed like a king
Which illustrates perfectly, that after 14 years incarceration one becomes institutionalized, therefore rendering one unfit to govern.

Biko
I would have thought that anyone who did time under Siyaad Barre would have met with your approval since Somaliland's reasons for breaking away from their Somali brothers was because of the alleged misrule and brutality of Siyaad. You are not being consistent.
Michael Italia
So how do u explain the phenomenon of Nelson Mandela, who languished in prison longer than CY?
The man lost his liver in Alambaqa, the notorious Ethiopian prison. Everyone who spends time there loses liver function. Ethiopian 1972 Olympic Marathon Gold medalist spent 91-94 there and lost his liver too. He was near death after his release.

The thing is, Mandela served as only a symbolic figurehead. Not as a bonafide leader, as Yusuf is purporting himself to be.
