AW .. i was introduced to him in that wedding i was telling you about... he is one of the most respected Sacad men who live here in London i think...
I was told he is a holder of PHD in political science and used to be former Goverment Advisor ..He left the country when before 89.... after being ordred to co-work ina mass massecre plot planned on many people including ours..
Very wise man.... he gave an intellectual speach at the Nikaax....abit about tradition and stuff.. and he has a strong reer mudug accent... and since the gurl we was asking for her hand was abgaal... all her relatives who filled up the place ..all sat and listened like students listening to a teacher.... while they were talking over each other earlier on..
Sh!t was funny... the other abgaal men where speaking like...."Saan aa la sameehaa".. and stuff and suddently this man comes and start off after Salaama caleykum.. "horta waxaa weeye".... the whole place whent silence straight away..

KK,
We are looking to nominate a new Sacad leader - a man under the age of 50, educated, clean with no bad history, and with strong Sacadnimo skills.
This old Sacad man suggested me but said I was too young

May be in 10 years
All I need is a Rer Hilowle wife to bolster my candidacy

Isamahan,
You can help shape the ideology of the new leadership. Use your political sci. degree to craft a siyaasad that we haven't had since the "Qadiiyaad" of General Caydiid (AUN).

loool Forget Somali elders, I don't think my own sacad folks are ready to listen to what women in her 20s or a women period have to say about politics.

Isamahan,
That was not the case before.
In the late 80s & 90s, the Sacad included the opinions of women.
One of the most instruemental fundraisers was this young woman who asked on a videotape who pleaded with all the Sacad overseas to help buy a tank so that we could go after the Siyaad Barre Army that used mechanized tanks & APCS to chase after them on the sandy hills of Mudug.
We were very close and it was often the Women who raised more Money & ashamed the men who didn't contribute.
In fact, Cabdiqasiim was quoted saying, "Kill the Sacad women as they are more deadlier than thier men folk."
