The reason why men wear Macawis is to get some fresh air where it is needed most. Laughing

It is very populour in Djibouti and Mogadishu most because these areas are hotter and more humid and males of all ages wear them as casual dress. In Hargeisa its only used when you are around the house by males of all ages but it is also very popular with elderly who wear them around all day.

In Hargeisa they wear it in the evennings out, most of them even wear it with a belt! Laughing
