Borders? Since when did we discuss borders? Caydiid and his Mooryaans attacked and looted food convoys reserved for the displayed and malnutritioned Somalis. How did Caydiid keep his Mooryaans in check if he didn't promise them "war booty" from the innocent Somalis.

KK, for someone you consider a great hero, you know very little. Caydiid spread his carnage beyond Xamar, captured many regions and displayed hundrends of thousands of people.

When he was battling the SNF, he prevented the imported food aid from Xamar from being delivered to relief centres upcountry thus causing a wide-scale genocidal famine. Furthermore, every village that they captured, they looted its inhabitants and killed its Daarood citizens. This is how he kept his Mooryaans in check since they weren't on a payroll.

In War, Hunger, and Displacement: The Origins of Humanitarian Emergencies, Volume 1: Analysis it mentions:

"The Aidid clan in Somalia ruled through localized terror, extortion, and systematic looting of international aid"
