They dropped his show and he was fired.........I would say they couldn't do more. Imus made the kind of mistake that scares away advertisers, which, ultimately, are the guys who pay his salary. So.............

Some mistakes you never stop paying for.

MadMac,

I also heard his contract was too expensive for CBS to foot alone even if the sponsors were scared away.

This was the latest gaffe that IMUS made & sealed the deal.
