If the worlds most powerful country couldn't defeat insurgents in Iraq and Taliban in Afghanistan what makes you sure that one of the poorest countries in the World Ethiopia is going to defeat insurgents in Mogadishu and most of Southern SOmalia. Its more likely Ethiopian government will collapse than insurgents in Mogadishu will be defeated.

The fighting in Mogadishu is making Meles Weaker, while guerrilla groups like ONLF, Oromas in Ethiopia and Amharas in Ethiopia are getting stronger than ever. We will soon see civil war in Ethiopia the way things are going right know.
