Use Logic bro. Who do you think history will critcize more for the Iraq war. Bush or Collin Powell. Obviously it was the latter that convinced some of the world tht the intelligence was legitimate to go to Iraq but we all Know bush was responsible. You cant compare a legitmate head of state with a Rebel leader. MSB will alwayz have the biggest blame and critcized more. Thts the reality.[/quote]

In America they say, "the buck stops at the president's desk" think about it for awhile. The leader makes the ultimate decision. It is like blaming Rommel for the WWII genocide and praising Hitler. I say non-sense.

You and A/Wahab are being extremely dense. Round table criticizm of MSB's legacy, regime etc. is fully wlecomed by civil minded, Government loving induviduals however it will be laughed at by people who glorify the likes of Caydid, Cali Mahdi etc. have no legs to stand on to criticize a Government.

I will be the first one to vouch to the fact that Ali Mahdi is a certified crack-head. I have never praised him nor will I ever praise him. The bastard has done more damage to Mudulood then our enemies could ever do.

Murax,

You are the clown.

You are the same bozo who blames a rape victim (Shacab) for fighting back instead of the rapist (MSB & Co.)

Twisted,

If you take the face of certainty as emotions, perhaps you have miraculous powers we have yet to discern. The first two Presidents of Somalia were great men, but their impact on Somalia did not have a lot of substantial merit. I am not here to denote that Siad Barre (AUN) was a perfect individual, no government or head of states are. But what I can attest to is his vision for a country he loved dearly. When he came to power there were no infrastructures, academic institutions, hospitals or a well functioning economy. He thrived in those areas, with precise precision. He changed the lives of many people. People tend to use the word "nepotism" too keenly. If he indeed exhibited those traits, why did he make a HAWIYE city the force behind his government? Why didn't he do such things for Bosaaso, Kismayo, or other parts in which Darood reside(d)? People want to blame him for things Somalis were born with...EGOTISM. He didn't make anyone take a pistol and shoot a mother, and child. He left Mogadishu and asked for the USC to leave everything enacted, but because of their egocentric disposition they destroyed the history Somalia had.

But then that "rapist" went back and raped the victim again with cruder methods so how do You figure.

Its like a police officer catching a rapist in the act and stops the rapist and then sodomizes the victim with kitchen tools (Excuse the language females its just metaphors)

Alluring,

With all due respect, your pattern of thinking is quite illogical. I have never denied that MSB made some worthwhile contribution towards the development of the Somali Republic; but what I have a hard time believing is the notion that MSB built Mogadishu (and "Hawiye" lands)from the ground up as many people allude to here. It is doesn't take for a rocket-scientist to appreciate the fact the seeds of Mogadishu development were planted by the Italians and the two consequent administrations of Somalia built on to them. Of course, MSB quicken the development of Mogadishu and he had to. What people conveniently ignore is the propensity of socialist regimes to engage in what I call " museum display syndrome," designed essentially as a show of power to out-side powers (especially Africans). Fidel Castro and communist China have perfected that technique. Even today, we can all agree that Meles Zenawi and his despotic predecessors such as Haile Sailiese and Haile Mariam Mengistu never belonged to Addis Ababa going by the ethnic demographics of the Ethiopian State, but they all spent massively to contribute to the development of Addis-the seat of the Ethiopian regime; while Amhara and Tigrey regions were not seeing much development. One thing they did and MSB's regime did though was practice a depressing form nepotism, essentially, hand-feeding of an entire clan at the expense of the whole state.

And yes, MSB did massacre innocent people. The aerial bombings of Hargeisa and else-where in Somalia during the 1980s is a fine case in point. MSB and his cronies left Xamar for one reason- they had the fear of God placed in them.
