After reading nearly all 10 pages Im exhausted! I agree with sister Upon Salafiyyah and Miss_Aaqli. However, I have read soo many different views and apparently the most correct is that the niqaab is recommended. Therefore, the advice given is that you should wear it but not to the extent that it is compulsion. But when I read the Islam-qa website they are all for it and believe it is waajib bringing all these ayaats and ahadith as evidence.

At the end of the day, Allah knows best and we ask him to guide us to the truth in that which we differ Ameen.

I have had a headache after looking into the 'right hijaab' topic for a while and I dont know what to do. I have decided not to take it until I get to the bottom of what I think is actually right.

Asalama Alaikum Sister

Inshallah thats the way of gaining knowledge by doing extensive reading from authentic sources.

As for the Niqab then sister that is a symbol of worship and if you don't feel ready for it then don't do it but just make sure you are adhering to the correct Hijab which is a cover from top till toe, the most practical one being the Jilbab...(thats what i am comfortable in anyways)

Inshallah Allah will reward you for your eagerness to gain knowledge of this Deen and May He make it easy for you ukhtii.

Asalama Alaikum

Wag1 People.

One person said to me once, that a girl who wears hijab and is still isnt practising their diin properly can have a justified reason for it. Because on judgement day, she has a better case for herself, saying that she wanted to keep her parents and family happy.

But on the other hand, it is hypocritical and dangerous for one person to wear hijab and be caught behind bond street station kissing an adoon. Or taking it off at nite to go out clubbin also.

But in my eyes, every person has the same mind at birth, and what makes a person is how they are brought up, the environment and what experiences the person has had or has been surrounded by.

One person told me, that:

''If a young tree starts to grow bent and not straight, it is very hard to straighten a tree once it is grown, the only option is to cut it down, therefore once the tree is first sprouted from a seed, make sure it grows straight, and when it is fully grown inshallah it will be straight''.

Therefore if a girl wears a hijab from day, prays from day, inshallah she will get used to it and do it until death.

Anyways, thats my view.

Tru @ Savaloy but I also think that you can change, even when you have not been brought up properly (islamically). Ilahay makes things easy for ppl.
