Re: Oromo capital city - Adama.
Ethiopia cannot ignore Adama at all...and is the only oromo city with high developments the rest along the road to Alem M are not so nice as Adama. But nothing beats Harar that city is beautiful.
Re: Oromo capital city - Adama.
ok lets get this straight.. we have a so called somali ku faanayaa ethiopia. Walle SNET has some of the dubious somali characters in the world.

Somali's own Harar period.Although I completely disagree with it being capital..only tolerate Dhaqahbuur, Jijiga or Godey being capitals.
Re: Oromo capital city - Adama.
Oromos are so useless, they are 25 million and only have one decent city (Adama) they control themselves. All the other Oromo cities look like shit, while Somalis have so many towns that look decent (Djibouti, Hargeisa, Burco, Garowe, Bosaso, Gaalkacyo etc)
Re: Oromo capital city - Adama.
Oromos were degraded and demeaned to the utmost degree by the past regimes. do you forget the amharic saying (gaalaa na shiti yi shanafaaloo) i dont want translate it. Somalis choose death over that.

Shinnile lol
The thing is oromos mostly live in the countryside: only poor and landless oromos used to go to towns and cities. its very recently that oromos started to emigrate to the towns and citys.
In eastern harerge, the composition of the cities/towns are changing very fast, this is even felt beyond oromo speaking areas of the area.
Afran Qalloo are on the move...small towns in the highland are completely oromonized in the last few years.
AQ land is so scarce that we have to move all around the eastern part of the country.
The same is true for some Arsi clans living in eastern showa: Adama is in the heart of Tuulama land, yet I suspect the majority of oromos
in the town are Arsis.
In the coming twenty years the composition of cities/towns in oromoland and beyond will change.

Nope...have you been there?????
Harar, Dire Dawa( Not part of their region but significant population reside there) , Debre Zeiyt, Jimma, Addis Ababa and Adama are beautiful and have lots of development but the smaller major towns are okay too. Main reason oromos are not complaining is because Meles Zenawi is actually bringing development into there regions unlike the somali region.

Re: Oromo capital city - Adama.
I am no denying things are improving for the better Oromowise, particulary these years of leprechons regime (zenawi), but when it comes to fighting you were knocked out on first round .

Oromo people

Cities in bold are NOT Oromo..Scarletmoon1 wrote: Nope...have you been there?????

Bishoftu aka Debre Zeiyt is so-so...meh not that well build
Jimma looks like a mess
So that still leaves Adama as their only decent city. That's a pity considering they number in the +25 million.
