Re: I started a blog about Somali history
You have used Bantu 500 times in this topic. Did you see me respond to you once? No, because to me the Bantu in southern Somalia I civilized and taught my language and brought Islam to are far more noble and cultured than an injirlow like you who prostrates at the hip for whichever man stands with one leg and continues to wear animal hide even today in 2011. The worst insult I can possibly call you is Oromo, which you pitifully are.

Oromo = Children of the Omo river in the exotic Southwest Ethiopia.
Their original Bantu homeland.

Re: I started a blog about Somali history
The worst thing, is claiming what u are not!
Everybody should be proud of his ancestors!
The shamefuls are only those claiming others history to boost their self esteem!
Harar history, its glorious and shameful parts alike, belongs to oromos and somalis living in that places
No matter how passionately u claim it, u will be claimant only!
Oromos and somalis of that region have stopped adoption long time ago!
sorry u came too late

Re: I started a blog about Somali history
Str8, I have only spoken the truth.
Bareento, I neither want nor care about Harar today when I am looking towards Mogadishu and Kismaayo. We are talking about history here whose only mention you have with respect to the history of Harar we are talking about is when a Marehan Emir of the Adal Empire built a gate that kept peasants like you out. From French to Arabic to indigenous established history, you come in nowhere into the picture beyond as peasants who were kept out by a gate. Now you can yap all you want, but that is how history recorded you.
Don't get it twisted.

Re: I started a blog about Somali history
I think u are more credible claiming Mogadiscio and Kismayo if u are from there!
It makes sens!
I dont know those areas ...I have no opinion on that!
Forget Harar, Imam Ahmed and specially Abadir!
Love your people as they are, embrace your history, in what it has glorious(if any) and in wat it has shameful (if any).
A house based on claims will be destroyed one day.
I undesrtand u! as a young boy in the desert koranic school, your teachers told u about the glory of harar;
being imaginatif u identified yourself with Harar!
Be proud of your history! dont claim! that is true nationalism!

bareento,
The Marehan are conquerors from the North, their claim to Gurey is not that unfathomable. The true Southerners like the exotic Garre they encountered speak totally different dialects.

Re: I started a blog about Somali history
funny thing is that the exotic garre also claim a northern origin, sanaag in this case.
and the garre example is a more recent case of assimilation...
they spent 200 years under the rule of borana and their langauge today is a dialect of boran even though they have somali geneology

Gedo (their current main homeland) means ''Trees'' in Somali, it's known to be the land of the plentiful.

Re: I started a blog about Somali history
Look at this charlatan frothing at the mouth. I brought you French sources. I brought you Arabic sources. I brought you Italian sources. I brought you English sources. I brought you Abbysinian sources. You have nothing to do with the history of that time or in that place or with those personalities besides the fictional nighttales of the peasants who slept outside the gates of the town.
Now I understand full well this is the internet and you can hardly be kept accountable to facts but please and for the sake of whatever shred of dignity you want to leave the Oromo people, stop embarrassing yourself. Claims have been made by both and many a supporting evidence has been given from my side, you have given 0.

gurgura made the wrong decision and migrated westwards instead of the shitty desert like you mentioned..
they still got surrounded by the oromo a couple of decades later in Dire dawa.

Re: I started a blog about Somali history
No my friend. The issue is you cant have a discussion with an angry tribal lunatic like yourself. I'm pretty sure I've seen you on other forums and you have real self esteem issues. You need to stop bragging about your tribe and belittling people to make yourself feel better. This advice is probably going to fly over your head, but I felt like I should say it anyways. May Allah guide you.Voltage wrote:Look at this charlatan frothing at the mouth. I brought you French sources. I brought you Arabic sources. I brought you Italian sources.
