I am not a hypocrite nor am I a shiek, so this "holier than thou" is something I have never titled myself and is purely figment of ur imagination. I have time and time stated that I do commit sins and I know I am wrong but unlike these people I WILL NEVER JUSTIFY MY ACTIONS USING THE DEEN. My problem with many people here is that somehow they convinced themselves what they're doing is perfectly acceptable in the eyes of god. I view ISLAM as pure, something that has been unchanged since first day and I take it very personal when people like Yalaxow and enlightensister to name a few try to "Modernize" our religion saying certain issues are out dated or 7th century, regardless of how I conduct myself. Do what you are gonna do but don't pull out hadith and ayats trying to personally interpret to fit ur needs, going against something that has been established.

You see where I am going with this? if I see some guys/girls wearing Islamic garment and buying liqueur, I would advise them to take it off before making the purchase to preserve the image of the deen, I would not pull out a xadiith or start lecturing them on their agenda (buying alcohol), again just protecting the image (the Islamic garment).

You are confusing two things here, that I have a problem with their actions (false) or I have a problem with them including the deen (true).
