Bro, do you have a breakdown of their respective clans. My mate has some Sacad E-V32 23andme relatives but no other Hawiye. If you can, please get me Abgaal, Murusade, non-Sacad Habargidirs test results please. The more the merrier.

I lost track of them sort of. There's a handful of Habar Gidir (don't know all the sub-clans), 2 Abgaals, 1 Xawadle.

The big missing link are Raxanweyn people. Basically none of them on there except one Garre guy.

they say Yemen is asl al arab, but the ancient south Arabian didn't even speak Arabic until about 2k years ago , they spoke south semitic languages closely related to the Amharic and Tigrinya .

I want to hear about a Somali with haplogroup A.

It is 10%-15% in Ethiopia & Eritrea, +20% in Sudan, but basically 0% in Somalia, very weird!

Hawiyes are the missing link, they are not bothered with DNA tests sadly. Why don't academics do a study on Somalis from South/Central Somalia ?

Sadly I haven't found any except for some anonymous people in some studies in 2005 and 2009 they are in that spreadsheet I posted in the other reply

It is still pretty useless until they make complete Y-Chromosome scans available with all the SNPs from Adam to you. I don't trust those STR correlations.

That test costs $1000 at the present, too expensive, waiting for price to fall under 200 bucks.

If a member of your clan did the test, save your money. It is embarrassing to see the list of cousins grow on 23andme. There is no point now.

The fun part is Darods and Isaqs discovering they are your average Somali and related to Hawiye/Dir respectively. Now that some of their Garaads took the test and found out they are Hawiye and Dir cousins, lacagta yaan la iska qasaarinin.
