Its interesting how the Bantu expansion to the east caused them to end up as far as Magadascar. Today in madagascar tthe Bantu and the malay have mixed forming the mulato - like population that comprises of the population today. The Southern cushitic that reached South East Africa at the same time as the Bantu are almost all absorbed or extinct. I have a feeling something like this will happen to Southern - Somalia if they dont get act together. Because that region alongside Northern Kenya seems to be a region dominated/influenced by Bantus/ swahillis for a millennia now. I wouldnt be surprised if Mogadishu ends up like Mombassa sometime in the future.
