For some, including you, they have this need to be different and devide up one people into categories, even science can't help here in your case, so I am getting out this joint by saying --> Aniga Soomaali dhalad ayaan ahay, my results were what the majority got who took the test regardless of their clan affiliation, It said I am from East Africa/Somalia. I have never heard of a Dir individual claiming to be anything other than a Somali. Our folklore is replete with Dir being our forefathers etc, that is the respect they always garner amongst Somalis and they aren't known to be Somalis who like to claim of Arab Origin. Bro, E1b1b is the Cushitic ethnic marker. At different points in history, there have been population movements from the Middle East into Africa and we are the result of such movements. Non E1b1b lineages such as J and T are not Cushitic ethnic markers but they have been present in Africa for thousands of years.
