It has nothing to do with helping out toolk. I do plenty of that in my own way. I'm talking about how creating youth group for just certain qabils could creat anomosity between youth. I want the youth to know where they come from but at the same time; for the youth, it would be better if their exposure was the love Somalia as a whole.
My lil sister has a friend who introduced her to this Sacad girl. My sister has never been to Somalia and just discovered she was Sacad a year ago. The two Sacad became very close friends to a point where the other NonSacad friend who introduced them wondered why they became the best of friends leaving her out. My sister's friend told her, "We grew up together and I have known u ever since I was a child BUT this sister (my lil sister) and I are FAMILY."
Sad part is that all 3 have never been to Somalia nor grew up among Somalis but the call of qabiil was strong
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOl, that same story happened to me walaaahi, except I when I met this girl through one of my darood friends I knew I was sacad. I don't know why it goes that way walahi. We instantly clicked, and we even went to Somalia last year together for the 1st time ( where she met this sacad guy in Galinsoor and now they are married ). There is not winning over qabil is there?
There is no winning over it unless u grow up with a person at an early age. I have a handful of friends that I am closer to than any Sacad person & can count on them over any Sacad person.
I don't mix qabiil & friendship.
Remember its always the closest ones that get you in the end.
AW I grow up in a white suburb with no Somalis let alone sacad. I had only 4 somali friends and they were darood until one of they introduced me to this sacad girl. Those darood friends, we never mix qabil and friendship and I can depend on them on any thing walaahi. However, my sacad friend, I have been friend with her since junior high, and she is like a sister to me. I definitely don't mix the qabil and friendship, but among my darood friend sometime you can't talk about things I can talk to my sacad friend about and that is the difference. During college walaahi, all my friends seem to be sacad for some reason.
