This image stirs up different thoughts and feelings. Somalis recognize the mothers in our community and rightly so. There are songs expressing love for one's mother. But there lacks the same recognition for our fathers.

Seeing two people of different generations in this manner makes me reflect on what we are passing onto the next generation.

Trypophobia is the fear of a group of small holes. It causes anxiety and sometimes and itchy sensation in people who have it.

Many people would feel uneasy just looking at that photo. It looks as though she has holes in her skin. There is something deeply disturbing about that.
